According to the latest data, the Lahore Air Quality Index (AQI), has reached to 242 which indicates that the air is severely polluted and it can cause serious health issues if breathed directly.

It is important to mention here, that earlier several drives were launched in Punjab like ”Suthra Punjab” ”River Ravi Ecosystem Revitalization” ”Punjab Green Development Program” to protect the environment of Lahore however, despite trying every solution the polluted air could not be controlled.

Every winter, the plains of Punjab Province , of which Lahore is the capitals are cloaked in thick smog as cold, heavy air traps pollutants from construction dust, vehicle emissions and agricultural fires.
