LAHORE: The weather in Lahore became pleasant with intermittent light and heavy rains, the mercury dropped to around 12 degrees Celsius, here on Sunday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the minimum temperature in Lahore is likely to be 22 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature will go up to 33 degrees Celsius after the rain reduces the heat and humidity.

Today, there will be a combination of sun and clouds in Lahore, there is a possibility of light to heavy rain at night.

However, the monsoon rain system is likely to leave Lahore by tomorrow.

Earlier on June 3, it was reported that the concerned departments are fully equipped to carry out their duties during the season, but the district administration of Lahore and WASA region lacks the staff and modern facilities to adequately deal with the monsoon rains. There is a shortage of resources including equipment.

Meanwhile, several sewerage pipelines in Lahore have expired and have not been replaced for a long time.
