LAHORE: Punjab University has withdrawn its policy of issuing academic degrees free of cost to students as the educational facility is facing difficulties in meeting the expenses.
The University has announced the fee schedule for issuing degrees to students after revising the Revenue General Policy.
Reports say that the Punjab University administration revised the policy to generate more revenue.
The university has set a fee of Rs 6000 for issuing degrees to students. The new police will reportedly come into effect immediately.
Punjab University is a public research university located in the provincial capital Lahore. It is said to be the oldest and largest public sector university in Pakistan.
