Lady constable killed in Lahore’s Harbanspura

LAHORE: A lady constable was shot dead by unknown persons in Harbanspura area of ​​Lahore, here on Tuesday.

According to the police, the tragic incident took place near the under-construction Harbanspura police station, where two motorcycle-borne accused opened fire, resulting in the death of Lady Constable Soman. The assailants managed to escape from the spot.

As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and shifted the body to the hospital and started the investigation.

Meanwhile, IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar took notice of the incident and asked for a report from CCPO Lahore.

The IG Punjab has directed the DIG Operations to immediately arrest the people involved in the firing and said that the incident should be fully investigated, and the accused should be arrested as soon as possible.

Dr. Usman Anwar further said that safe city camera footage and all available evidence should be used to arrest the accused and justice to the victim’s family would be the top priority.
