LAHORE: Five members of a family, including three children, were killed in a tragic explosion at an LPG cylinder shop on Ravi Road on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Nusrat, Samia, Zainab, Ibrahim and Faryal, all of whom belonged to the same family.
Seven people were also injured in the blast in the three-storey building housing a cylinder shop on the ground floor. The injured were immediately shifted to Mayo Hospital, two of whom are in critical condition. Authorities have confirmed that the intensity of the blast shattered the windows of nearby shops and houses and a rickshaw was also hit.
Local police said that the full extent of the damage to the building is still being assessed. The house was badly damaged in the blast, but more details are awaited.
The tragic incident has shaken the local community, and an investigation is underway to find out the cause of the blast. Authorities have assured that they will provide further updates as the situation unfolds.
