LHC announces summer vacation 2024 for judges

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has announced six weeks of summer vacation 2024 for the judges.

According to a notification, LHC judges will go on six weeks of summer vacation between July 1 and August 31, 2024.

All regional benches of the LHC including the principal one will remain closed from July 1 to August 31.

However, it should be noted that court hearings of certain cases will continue during this period, adhering to the regular schedule. These cases include bail applications, stay orders, and habeas corpus pleas.

The court will resume normal proceedings for all other categories of cases starting Sept 1, 2024.

Meanwhile, the Punjab School Education Department (SED) has imposed a province-wide ban on summer school camps in all public and private schools.

It stated that no private school is allowed to conduct a summer camp without official approval and a departmental notification in place.
