ABBOTTABAD: Lake Saif-ul-Malook has been reopened for tourists after six months as tourists can now enjoy the picturesque views of the region.
DSP Circle Paras Khushal Khan said that after the reopening of Naran, the route to Lake Saif-ul-Malook was opened for four-by-four vehicles in no time.
He said that six small and big glaciers were cleared from the lake road to restore it for jeep travel.
Naran Hotel Association said in its message that tourists can enjoy the snow-covered lake and the cold weather.
Earlier, the National Highway Authority (NHA) and Balakot Tehsil Administration officials had announced that the road to Naran has been reopened after five months of closure due to heavy snowfall.
Naran was closed for tourists in November last year following heavy snowfall in the region.
The road was opened after cutting the glaciers blocking the Kaghan Highway.
Naran is located in the upper Kaghan Valley of Mansehra District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Approximately 1.5 million tourists visit Naran every year.
