Major changes announced in Punjab Bureaucracy

LAHORE: Mass reshuffling has been ordered in the Punjab Bureaucracy with the issuance of large-scale transfers and appointments on Saturday.

Planning and Development Board Chairman Nabeel Awan has been asked to report to the Services Department, and the Energy Department Secretary, Dr Naeem Rauf, has been made the new chairman of the Planning and Development Board.

Simultaneously, Planning and Development Board Secretary Dr Asif Tufail has been nominated as Sahiwal Commissioner. Rafaqat Ali, Secretary, I&C Services Department, has been nominated as Planning and Development Board Secretary.

Additionally, Finance Department Special Secretary Muhammad Masood Noman has been nominated as Secretary, I&C Services Department.

Tourism Department Secretary Farid Ahmed Tarar has taken the post of the Human Rights Department Secretary, and he has replaced Environment Protection Department Secretary Jahangir Anwar.

Moreover, the Archive and Libraries Wing Services Department Secretary, Silwat Saeed, has been made the Environment Protection Department Secretary, and Higher Education Department Secretary Dr Farrukh Naveed will become Energy Department Secretary.

OSD Ghulam Farid has been named as Secretary Higher Education Department. Sahiwal Commissioner Shoaib Iqbal has been ordered to report back to the Services Department for courses.
