LAHORE: The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, introduced the Maryam Ko Batayein Helpline 1000, which will deliver urgent financial help to qualified families during the holy month of Ramadan.

Through this program, citizens who experience extreme financial difficulty can contact Helpline 1000 to request emergency financial assistance. The chief minister established that every eligible family that requests assistance will receive support throughout the Ramadan period.

The announced system will deliver Rs. 10,000 to eligible applicants within a 24-hour period after they complete the necessary verification steps.

Citizens can apply through three channels: by calling Helpline 1000, using the official mobile application, or submitting their details through the online web portal.

Applicants must provide their CNIC number to complete registration. The government will authenticate applications through the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) system while also verifying data against the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) database to maintain transparency and avoid duplicate applications.

The program will deliver assistance to eligible individuals who have not yet received benefits from any other government assistance programs.

The chief minister explained that the system enables prompt delivery of transparent financial support, which enables targeted cash assistance to reach authentic needy families without any time delays.
