NUSHKI: A horrible explosion on the Naushki-Dalbandin Highway in Balochistan on Sunday caused the death of at least five and left ten others injured.

According to the officials, the explosion struck a bus travelling from  Nushki to Taftan. Rescue teams swiftly arrived at the site to carry the injured and dead to the hospital.

In the light of the recent terrorist activities in Balochistan, the Medical Superintendent of Mir Gul Khan Naseer Teaching Hospital in Noshki declared an emergency to cope with the hastening influx of casualties.

Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned off the blast site, and investigations are underway to determine the cause and those responsible for the attack.

In another, separate event, an explosion near a police mobile in the Kirani Road area of Quetta left six people injured while a policeman was martyred.

The injured are being provided with immediate medical relief, while law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area to start an inquiry.
