QUETTA – Another incident of terrorism rocked Balochistan’s Kachi district when dozens of heavily armed militants stormed a police station and some government installations, martyred the station house officer and two terrorists.

The dramatic attack took place around 4:15 PM, when heavily armed militants stormed the Bagh police station, Levies headquarters, a government bank and several government offices, spreading terror in the remote town located 200 kilometers from the provincial capital Quetta.

The local police and paramilitary personnel retaliated with unparalleled courage, preventing the attackers from taking over the area. Two militants were killed but SHO Lutf Khosa sacrificed his life while defending the homeland.

Clips making the rounds online show Baloch militants patrolling the streets and causing chaos near a bank branch, while the attackers loot and vandalize the premises before fleeing.

Indian-backed Baloch separatist groups continue to target security posts and government installations in the mineral-rich region.

The latest attack has once again raised alarm bells over rising militant activity in the province, with authorities warning of further threats amid growing instability in the region.
