Military, political leadership vow joint action against terrorism

PESHAWAR: A high-level meeting on law and order was held at the Corps Headquarters Peshawar today, in which Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi, and Corps Commander Peshawar participated.

According to media reports, in the meeting, the military and political leadership agreed to move in the same direction in the war against terrorism.

Sources say that Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s meeting with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and other stakeholders was pleasant.

According to reports, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi stayed at the Corps Headquarters along with the cabinet for 3 hours. The Chief Minister and the cabinet members also had lunch at the Corps Headquarters.

Reports said that during lunch, the Chief Minister and Mohsin Naqvi sat close and talked, and the Chief Minister also shook hands with Mohsin Naqvi and other participants.

In the meeting on law and order, it was decided to implement the provincial government’s discipline as a model in Malakand Division.

According to sources, the meeting discussed the establishment of permanent peace in the province and agreed to adopt a collective strategy for the betterment of the tribal districts.
