LAHORE: The Motorway Police have closed key sections of the M1 and M2 motorways due to a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Lahore, causing significant disruptions to travelers.

To ensure security and maintain order, traffic on the M2 motorway from Chakri has been halted, while vehicles from Neela Dullah are being diverted to alternative routes.

The M1 motorway, connecting major cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has also experienced partial closures at various locations.

These closures have severely impacted travel between Punjab, Islamabad, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in lengthy delays for many travelers.

The Motorway Police have emphasized that these closures are necessary to maintain security and order ahead of the rally. Travelers are urged to stay informed and plan accordingly to minimize disruptions.

To minimize inconvenience, commuters are advised to take precautionary measures. Before embarking on their journey, travelers should check traffic updates to stay informed about the latest conditions. Planning alternative routes can also help avoid lengthy delays.

Additionally, following guidance from the Motorway Police will ensure safe travel. By taking these steps, travelers can better navigate the disruptions caused by the motorway closures.
