KARACHI: The son of Jamaat-i-Islami Balochistan’s Head and Member Provincial Assembly (MPA), Moulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman, Abdul Basit, has allegedly gone missing from the Saudabad area of Malir on Wednesday, according to media reports.
Abdul Basit, studying and residing in a religious school, has not been seen after he left for his uncle’s house in the Manghopir area, according to family sources.
However, he never arrived at his uncle’s residence and has not returned to the seminary either.
Syed Murad Ali Shah, the chief minister of Sindh, has taken notice of the child’s alleged abduction and ordered Ghulam Nabi Memon, the Sindh IG Police, to use every resource at his disposal to find the missing boy.
Inquiring about the situation, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti also got in touch with Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman, promising him his entire assistance in order to secure his son’s speedy recovery.
Moreover, according to police officials that no formal report has been received by the family as of now but we are in contact with the family to recover the boy as soon as possible.
