Mufti Ilyas Rizvi Ashrafi passes away

LAHORE: Allama Mufti Muhammad Ilyas Rizvi Ashrafi, a prominent Sunni scholar, passed away. On hearing the news of his death, a wave of deep sorrow and grief swept through religious circles, while a large number of students, devotees and scholars have termed his death an irreparable loss.

The funeral prayer of the deceased was offered at Muhammadi Ground, Usmanabad Ranchhor Line, where a large number of scholars, great scholars, social and religious figures and the general public attended.

The scene of the funeral prayer was very moving, where every eye was seen tearful and special prayers were offered for the elevation of the deceased’s ranks.

After the funeral prayer, the deceased was laid to rest at Darul Uloom Nazrat Uloom. A large number of devotees were present at the funeral, who bid farewell to their beloved scholar with tearful eyes.

Various religious and social figures have expressed deep sorrow and grief over his death, saying that the religious services of the deceased will always be remembered. They prayed that Allah Almighty may grant the deceased a high position in Paradise and grant patience to the bereaved family.
