ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced that some of its services will remain suspended on Sunday, November 2, due to a scheduled system upgrade.
According to the NADRA notice, several services of the Pak ID mobile application may be disrupted between 8:00 am and 8:30 a.m.
Moreover, it stated that NADRA services at Pakistan’s diplomatic missions abroad will remain suspended from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday. Services are expected to resume as soon as the system upgrade is completed.
NADRA stressed that these measures are part of ongoing efforts to ensure smoother, faster, and more secure digital services for citizens in Pakistan and overseas.
Earlier this week, the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) announced that people can now obtain their first Identity Card, without a smart chip, free of cost in 15 days.
As per the official statement, NADRA has called upon all citizens who have reached the age of 18 and all those who do not possess a CNIC to come to any nearby centre, undergo the process, and obtain their first CNIC for free.
As per law, upon turning 18 years old, a citizen is qualified to obtain his/her ID card, and they also become qualified to vote in general elections.
