ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) serves as Pakistan’s exclusive body that provides citizens with identity cards and official documents for domestic and international use.

The organization has established a new procedure for issuing B-Forms to children. The new system will produce three distinct B-Forms for each child, which will be created through different stages that have their own specific time limits and needs.

The first B-Form will be issued at birth without a photograph and will remain valid until the child reaches three years of age. The second B-Form will be issued after the child turns three because it contains a photograph that will remain valid until the child turns ten years old.

The third B-Form requires a photograph together with iris and fingerprint data because it will be issued after the child turns ten and will remain valid until the child reaches 18 years.

Parents should complete their child’s registration at the Union Council within one month after birth to obtain the first B-Form, which they should fetch from NADRA.

Parents can acquire a new B-Form after each B-Form expires by taking their child to the nearest NADRA office or by using the Pakistan ID mobile application to obtain the B-Form at home.
