ISLAMABAD: National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) has made it faster to get a computerized national identity card (CNIC) in the urgent category.
The authority announced the news on social media, saying that now it takes only 15 days instead of 23 to get your ID card if you apply urgently. This means citizens can get their ID cards quicker by applying urgently.
They also mentioned that there’s no change in the fee for the Urgent category, so the same fees apply as before.
As of March 2024, the fee for the urgent category remains unchanged at Rs1,500.
Under the updated policy, obtaining an urgent CNIC will now only require a 15-day processing period.
