ISLAMABAD: National Database and Registration Authority NADRA has issued the most important updates for citizens willing to renew their CNICs online via the Pak ID app.

The authority in a social media message advised the citizens to submit their CNIC renewal application instantly through the Pak ID mobile app and receive the updated card at their homes.

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) had earlier issued a warning to the public over a fictitious website impersonating the authority.

In a message shared on social media, NADRA mentioned that ‘idcardtracking.online’ is a fake website. Citizens, in particular overseas Pakistanis, were warned not to get involved with agents or any third-party service provider for identity-related services.

NADRA declared that, to avoid fraud, one must use the only official Pak-ID mobile application for identification services.

NADRA had submitted a complaint to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, seeking an inquiry into the matter.

The authority cautioned overseas Pakistanis, particularly those residing in the United Kingdom, to be vigilant.

The website using the name “NADRA Card Centre” is not affiliated with NADRA, according to the spokesperson, and was engaged in deceiving expatriates by fraud.
