ISLAMABAD: After the dismissal of journalist Javed Chaudhry, another prominent anchor person has been reportedly issued a notice period by well well-known Pakistani media channel.

According to the sources of Daily Ausaf, Senior anchorperson and political analyst Najam Sethi has reportedly been issued a notice period by Samaa News, and is expected to part ways with the channel within one month, sources told.

According to insiders, the management has been making internal changes to its editorial direction and programming schedule.

Sources further revealed that Sethi’s popular current affairs show ” Sethi Se Sawal” is also likely to be taken off-air following his expected departure from the channel. The move is said to be part of a broader restructuring within Samaa’s prime-time lineup.

It is noteworthy that earlier, prominent journalist Javed Chaudhry was also reported to have received a similar notice period from Samaa. Following that development, similar news regarding Najam Sethi has begun circulating across media circles.

As of now, neither Samaa News nor Najam Sethi has issued any official statement regarding the matter, and both sides have maintained silence. Discussions on internal realignment and shifting editorial policies continue within the media industry.
