Nepra cuts power tariff by Rs2.12 per unit

KARACHI: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has announced a reduction of Rs 2.12 per unit in electricity prices for consumers of DISCOs under the January fuel cost adjustment.

The notification has been issued. With the reduction of Rs 3 per unit in electricity prices under the December monthly fuel cost adjustment, Karachi’s K-Electric consumers have also received relief.

Nepra has also issued a separate notification for K-Electric.

Earlier, the government had announced a reduction of Rs 1.23 per unit in electricity rates for consumers across the country.
