ISLAMABAD: The latest official price list for essential food items has been released, setting updated rates for meat, poultry, and eggs.
According to the notification, mutton (goat meat) has been fixed at Rs 2,400 per kilogram, while beef is priced at Rs 1,200 per kilogram.
The rate for live broiler chicken has been set at Rs 304 per kilogram, whereas broiler chicken meat will be available at Rs 461 per kilogram.
Meanwhile, farm eggs have been priced at Rs 236 per dozen.
Authorities have directed relevant departments to ensure implementation of the new rates and to take action against overcharging.
