New School timings announced for Punjab till April 2024

Lahore: Authorities in Punjab have announced adjusted school timings for February 2024, effective from February 1st. The new timings, set to accommodate the end of the extreme cold wave with rains, will see schools commence from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.

According to the notification, regular classes for boys’ schools in Lahore and other cities will be held from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, while girls’ schools will operate from 8:15 am to 2:15 pm.

This decision aims to ensure a smooth transition back to regular school activities while considering improved weather conditions in the region.

Lahore Introduces New School Timings for 2024

Beginning February 1, 2024, new school hours will be implemented across Punjab. On Fridays, classes in boys’ schools will end at 12:15 pm, while girls’ schools will conclude at 12 pm. Additionally, timings for schools with double shifts have been revised.

These changes follow the closure of educational institutions in December 2023 and January 2024 due to severe smog and cold weather conditions, resulting in exam postponements.
