Operation started against illegal Afghan residents

Karachi: Nationwide operation was started as soon as the deadline for the illegal residents to leave the country voluntarily expired, the first arrests of the illegal residents were also made in Karachi.

4 Afghan citizens arrested during operations against illegal residents in Karachi were transferred to the holding camp, announcements were also made from mosques for illegal residents before the deadline.

The district administration of Karachi has set up camps near the old Haji camp for foreigners residing illegally in the city.

The police have also started operations against illegal immigrants in 9 districts of Hyderabad region, while operations have also been started for the evacuation of foreigners living in Mianwali, Bhakkar, Khushab and Sargodha districts of Sargodha division.

On the other hand, the data of more than 50,000 illegal Afghan residents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has been compiled, days have also been set aside to send back the arrested foreigners.

In KP, the government has also set up a control room to inform and guide the evacuation of illegally staying foreigners.

Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti, who is in charge of operations against illegal residents, said that operation SWIFT will be conducted against illegal residents in which there will be no beating.

He said that legal action will be taken against those who provide facilities to illegal immigrants. First they will be sent to these camps and then back to their country.
