ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the opposition steering committee deliberated on how to thwart government effort to pass the mini-budget through parliament, media reported on Wednesday.

Reportedly, an opposition steering committee caucus was held in Islamabad on Wednesday attended by senior opposition leaders including PML-N stalwarts like Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ayaz Sadiq, Khwaja Asif, Marriyum Aurangzeb and PPP’s Naveed Qamar, Maulana Asad Mehmood, Shahida Akhtar Ali, Haji Hadayat Ullah, Shafiq Tarin and others.

Sources informed the conclave chalked out a strategy as how it would defeat the government by stopping the passage of mini-budget through parliament.
