Orders to keep PTI leader Asad Qaiser in judicial lock-up

A local court in Islamabad handed over PTI leader Asad Qaiser to the federal police and ordered him to be kept in judicial lock-up.

Islamabad police presented PTI leader Asad Qaiser in a local court. He was brought to the court in a police armored vehicle and tight security arrangements were made.

On behalf of PTI, Shoaib Shaheen, Barrister Goli and Sardar Masroof appeared in the court and the investigating officer of Bani Gala police station also appeared before the court and requested to send Qaiser to jail on judicial remand.

The investigating officer said that until the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police comes judicial proceedings should be conducted and Asad Qaiser should be sent to Adiala jail on judicial remand.

Shoaib Shaheen said that the lawyers of Asad Qaisar should be told what the police want, who gave the authority to arrest Asad Qaisar to the Islamabad police? The election was announced yesterday and Asad Qaiser was arrested today.

Shoaib Shaheen requested to release Asad Qaiser from the case and said that we are also filing protective bail.

The court reserved its decision on Asad Qaiser’s request for judicial remand, which after some time handed him over to the Islamabad police and ordered him to be kept in judicial lock-up.
