ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that their family and party were on the same page and all political decisions were taken with consultation, so the rumors that were being spread were wrong.

“All decisions in the party or at home are made with my consultation and consent. I do not believe in explanation. I would like to say that I am considered the head of the family,” Chaudhry Shujaat said in a statement.

The PML-Q president further said, “I have been told that there are differences in our family. There is no truth in this. Our family has been spread in all districts of Pakistan, not just Punjab for 50 years,” he said.

He said that decisions were made with his consent. Those who want to gain political advantage by propagating differences would be disappointed, he said.

earlier on Monday, Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) has decided to support Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan in the no-confidence voting in the National Assembly (NA) as Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has resigned from his post.

PML-Q and PM Imran have entered a settlement prior to the voting on the no-confidence motion, a discussion which will start on March 31, and therefore, Punjab CM has resigned.

In return, the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will support Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as the candidate for Punjab chief minister.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib said PM Imran has decided to nominate Pervaiz Elahi as the new chief minister.

In a tweet on Monday, he said PML-Q leader and Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi called on the premier in Islamabad and expressed full confidence of his party in the leadership of Imran Khan.

He said all the issues have been settled with the PML-Q leadership.
