RAWALPINDI: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lt. Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudry, said that since November 4, 2025, 4910 intelligence-based operations have been conducted against terrorism across Pakistan.

While talking to a senior journalist in Rawalpindi, the ISPR head said that during these operations, 206 terrorists were killed –

This year, 67023 intelligence-based operations were conducted across the country, including 12857 conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, and 53309 intelligence-based operations were conducted in Balochistan province –

This year, a total of 1873 terrorists were killed, including 136 Afghans, he said.

Border Management

Misleading propaganda is being spread regarding security agencies on border management, as the Pak-Afghan border consists of extremely difficult and difficult routes.

He noted that the Pak-Afghan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa covers 1229 km, with 20 crossing points, and the distance between posts on the Pak-Afghan border is 20 to 25 km. The border fence cannot be effective until it is covered by observation and fire, he said.

The ISPR chief added that if a fort is built after 2 to 5 km and drone surveillance is carried out, it will require a lot of resources.

He went on to say that “Unlike Punjab and Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has divided villages on both sides of the border. In such a situation, controlling movement is a challenge. In the world, border management is always done jointly by both countries.”

The military spokesperson said that “On the contrary, the Afghan Taliban completely facilitates the infiltration of terrorists from Afghanistan into Pakistan.

If you look at the areas adjacent to the Afghan border, you can barely see an effective administrative structure there, which is a cause of increasing governance problems.”

He added that there is a very strong political terror-crime nexus in these border areas, which is facilitated by the Khawarij are the ones who are causing trouble. If terrorist formations are coming from across the border or illegal smuggling and trade are taking place, then who is responsible for stopping it internally?”

LT Gen. Ahmed Sharif asked that “If millions of non-custom paid vehicles are roaming in your province, then who is to stop them? Non-custom paid vehicles are part of this political terror crime nexus that is used in suicide attacks.”

DOHA Agreement

Pakistan’s position regarding the Doha agreement with Afghanistan is very clear, as Pakistan’s position is that the Afghan Taliban regime should stop facilitating terrorists

There are terrorist centers and leadership of Al-Qaeda, ISIS, and terrorist organizations in Afghanistan, and from there they also get weapons and funding, which are used against Pakistan.

He affirmed that we have placed before them all the evidence that they cannot ignore, and we demand that the Afghan Taliban regime sign an agreement under a verifiable mechanism.

The ISPR head cleared Pakistan’s position that “If a verifiable mechanism is to be set up by a third party, Pakistan will not object to it, adding that the mediator countries are also fully aware of Pakistan’s position.”

“The Taliban regime’s claim about the Fitna al-Kharij that they are Pakistanis, have migrated and are our guests, is illogical. If they are Pakistani citizens, hand them over to us, and we will deal with them according to our law. How are these guests who come to Pakistan armed?”

Afghan Regime

He noted that “According to the SIGAR report, US military equipment worth $7.2 billion has been left in Afghanistan during the withdrawal of US forces.

“The Afghan regime has become a threat not only to Pakistan but also to the entire region and the world. The Taliban regime is currently nurturing non-state actors who pose a threat to various countries in the region.”

HE stated that “Pakistan’s demand is clear that the Afghan Taliban should behave like a state. We do not have a problem with Afghans, but our problem is with the Afghan Taliban regime.

“In the Doha talks, the Afghan Taliban promised the international community that their land would not be used for terrorism, but this has not been implemented yet.”

The Afghan Taliban regime is not representative of Afghans because it does not represent all nationalities. The representation of 50 percent of Afghan women in this regime does not exist.

Trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan

The issue of trade closure between Pakistan and Afghanistan is related to our security and the protection of people’s lives and property.

He added that Bloodshed and trade cannot go together. For us, there is no difference between good and bad terrorists.

He affirmed that “We are on the right side of history. Truth always prevails, and we stand firm on truth.”

“Under the process of honorable repatriation of Afghan refugees, 366,704 people have been sent back in 2024 and 971,604 in 2025. 239,574 people were sent back during the current month, November alone, the DG said.

Indian Narrative and Disinformation

He further stated that “The statement of the Indian Army Chief that we showed a trailer during Operation Sindoor is a reflection of a self-deceptive mindset.

A trailer in which seven planes are shot down, 26 locations are attacked, and S-400 batteries are destroyed will become a horror film for them. Repeated false Indian statements on the defeat in Sindoor are to dissolve public anger and resentment.”

The military spokesperson added that “If any country provides military equipment to the Afghan Taliban regime, it will end up in the hands of terrorists.”

He added that “X accounts that create toxic narratives against the state of Pakistan and its institutions operate from abroad. An attempt is made to poison the politics and other issues here from outside Pakistan.”

These social media accounts operated from abroad are busy creating narratives against Pakistan moment by moment. It is clear that the social media that is running in Pakistan is actually run by external hands, as per DG ISPR.

National Action Plan

Talking about the National Action Plan (NAP), he said that “All governments and political parties agree on terrorism that its solution lies in the National Action Plan, and a coordinated system has been developed in Balochistan to implement this plan, while its lack is seen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“Under this system, steering, monitoring, and implementation committees have been formed at the district, divisional and provincial levels,” he added.

Terrorism- Political Nexus

He mentioned that Smuggling of Iranian diesel is one of the major reasons for the illegal spectrum, and the money earned in this regard is used to promote terrorism.

“Before the crackdown by the Army, FC, and the provincial government on the smuggling of Iranian diesel, 20.5 million liters of diesel were being smuggled daily.

This amount has come down to 2.7 million liters per day. The money earned in the form of diesel smuggled from Iran goes to the BLA and BYC,” he noted.

He said that “Due to the implementation of the National Action Plan, 27 districts of Balochistan have been brought under the jurisdiction of the police, which is 86% of Balochistan.

The provincial government and security forces in Balochistan are continuously engaging with the local people and 140 such daily and 4000 monthly engagements are taking place, which have far-reaching results.”
