ISLAMABAD: The third hotline contact has been held between the Directors Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India, in which both sides discussed the latest ground situation in detail.
According to sources, DGMO of Pakistan Army Major General Kashif Abdullah and DGMO of India Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai have agreed to maintain the ceasefire along the Line of Control and maintain the ‘status quo’ agreed upon during the first contact. This ceasefire was made possible through diplomatic efforts of the US and other friendly countries.
Although the details of this hotline contact have not been officially released by either side yet, sources said that both DGMOs stressed the importance of maintaining peace and expressed their agreement on this based on the previous contact held on Monday.
