Pakistan Navy successfully launches FN-6 surface-to-air missile

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy on Wednesday crossed a milestone with the successful test-fire of the FN-6 surface-to-air missile.

As per the issued statement by Pakistan Navy, the Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) units conducted live weapon firing (LWF) of FN-6 Surface to Air Missile (SAM) in Karachi. The exercise demonstrated the GBAD system’s ability to effectively engage and neutralize air targets.

Commander Coast Vice Admiral Raja Rab Nawaz attended as Chief Guest. He addressed the troops and appreciated the successful conduct of missile firing. Vice Admiral Nawaz expressed complete satisfaction with the operational readiness of Pakistan Navy’s GBAD system and reiterated that the naval forces are fully equipped and ready to give a decisive response to any hostile action.

The FN-6 surface-to-air missiles are part of Pakistan Navy’s ongoing efforts to enhance its defense capabilities and ensure national security in the face of increasing threats.
