Pakistan Railways reduces fares of luxury salons

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways has taken an important step and reduced the fares of luxury salons.

Passengers will now be able to travel in the salons of the Railway Minister, IG, CEO, and Chairman of Railways.

The fare from Karachi to Rawalpindi luxury salons has been reduced from Rs 500,000 to Rs 172,000. The fare of Karachi to Lahore luxury salons has been reduced from Rs 420,000 to Rs 150,000.

Similarly, the fare from Lahore to Rawalpindi has been reduced from Rs 100,000 to Rs 44,000.

Spokesperson for Pakistan Railways said that on the instructions of the Railway Minister, the fares of railway salons have been significantly reduced.

Bookings can be made from the Chief Commercial Manager Headquarters and Divisional Offices.

On the other hand, Pakistan Railways has changed the working hours of trains for the winter season.

A railway spokesperson says that the new train timetable will remain in effect until April 15, 2026. In the new schedule released, the temporary stops of nine trains have been removed and regular stops have been given.

According to Pakistan Railways, the Allama Iqbal Express will now depart from Sialkot at 7:30 am instead of 7:00 am, the Awam Express will depart from Karachi to Peshawar at 8:00 am instead of 7:30 am.

The Narowal Passenger Train will now depart at 7:25 am instead of 7:00 am, and the Shalimar Express will now depart at 7:10 am instead of 7:30 am.
