Pakistan Rangers detained BSF solider over border crossing

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Rangers have captured an Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel identified as PK Singh belonging to the 182nd Battalion of the BSF near the area of Punjab border.

The incident occurred on Wednesday near the Ferozepur district, where the detained constable of BSF was in uniform and was armed with his service rifle, with farmers near the bordering area. According to indian media reports.

Pakistani authorities immediately took the Indian military personnel into custody and informed Indian authorities about the incident.

The report further said that a flag meeting is underway between the border forces of the two countries to return the BSF personnel.
