Pakistan weather update: PMD predicts cold & dry weather in most parts of the country

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted cold and dry weather in most parts of the country.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to be extremely cold in the mountainous areas in the morning and night, while smog and moderate fog are expected in the plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Haze is likely to occur at a few places in the plain areas of Islamabad, Potohar region, Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the morning.

During the last 24 hours, the weather was cold and dry in most parts of the country, while it was extremely cold in the mountainous areas, however, fog was prevalent in some plain districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The minimum temperature was recorded in Skardu at minus 08 degrees Celsius, in Leh, Ziarat, Kalat at minus 07 degrees Celsius, Quetta and Gilgit at minus 05 degrees Celsius.
