Pakistan weather update: PMD predicts rain in some part of country

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in some parts of the country.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to be dry in most parts of the country, while it is likely to be cold in the mountainous areas during the night and morning hours.

In Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, apart from partly cloudy weather, rain is expected, the weather will remain dry in Islamabad and its surroundings. The weather will remain cold in Murree, Galiyat and its surroundings.

The weather is expected to be dry and cold in most districts of Sindh and Balochistan, while the weather is expected to be cold in most mountainous areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

There is a possibility of rain in a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan, in Azad Kashmir, apart from partly cloudy weather, rain is expected at a few places.

The Meteorological Department says that due to continuous dry weather and air pollution, the districts of eastern Punjab will remain under the influence of smog, citizens have been instructed to take precautionary measures.

According to the Meteorological Department, smog is also likely to persist in Lahore, Gujrat, Nawala, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Okara, Faisalabad and Sialkot.
