Islamabad: Renowned Pakistani business and media personality, Zafar Siddiqui has passed away in Dubai after a prolonged battle with illness. Siddiqui, who was undergoing treatment for cancer at a hospital in the UAE, had been a prominent figure in the Pakistani media industry. His demise has been met with an outpouring of condolences, marking the end of an era in the media landscape of Pakistan.
With almost twenty years of experience at KPMG, Siddiqui transitioned into the television industry, leveraging his expertise in finance and management. He played a significant role in the establishment of TeleBiz, a Pakistani TV production house specializing in high-quality business programs for international broadcasters. Additionally, Siddiqui expanded his influence by spearheading the launch of the CNBC business network across the Middle East. His contributions include the establishment of CNBC Pakistan in 2005 and CNBC Africa in 2007, as well as playing a key role in the establishment of Samaa TV in 2009.
