Passerby dies after building pillar collapses during work at Data Darbar

LAHORE: A passerby died after a building pillar collapsed during work on the Data Darbar expansion project.

According to the police, 40-year-old passerby Shahid was seriously injured when a building pillar collapsed during work on the Data Darbar expansion project. He was being taken to the hospital but died on the way.

The police took action and arrested 5 people, including a safety officer and crane staff, including Tahir, Hamza, Mudassar, Ameer Muawiya and Luqman.

Police say that the arrested suspects are being interrogated in connection with the incident.
