ISLAMABAD: PPP leader Sharmila Farooqui has indicated that her party is open to forming the next federal government, citing concerns over the performance of the PML-N-led administration.

Farooqui appeared at the private news channel program, she emphasized that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is a prime ministerial candidate with strong support and an unblemished record. She praised Bilawal for his role in negotiating the 26th Constitutional Amendment, describing him as a great leader with a legacy.

PPP leader also responded to comments by Faisal Vawda, who criticized the PML-N as a “bad brand, “and pointed out issues with the current government’s performance, including inflation and the FBR’s failure to meet targets. She reiterated that while PM Shehbaz Sharif is working hard, the PPP has concerns, particularly regarding Punjab, where commitments made to the party remain unfulfilled.
