PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise Police has arrested a ring involved in organ trafficking from the joint checkpost at the M-1 motorway. As per the details, the arrested gang was going to illegally sell kidneys for Rs 280,000.

The prime accused and gang leader Shahzad Ali Mohsin brought Mohsin and Rashid to Peshawar from Multan to sell kidneys. They were involved in the business of removing the kidneys of needy people and selling them at exorbitant prices.
According to the Excise Department, countless videos of the affected people have also been obtained from the mobile phone of the accused Shahzad.
The arrested accused were handed over to the FIA for further investigation to trace their network and other possible accomplices. Police officials said that strict action will be taken against those involved in the illegal trade of human organs.
Similarly, in another operation, the Federal Investigation Agency took action against human smugglers and arrested two agents involved in sending Afghan citizens to Italy on fake Pakistani passports.
The arrested agents were identified as Shafiullah and Khurshid. They were arrested from their office in Waziristan Plaza in Saddar, Peshawar.
The action against the suspects was taken on the report of the FIA Immigration Liaison Office in Italy. The suspects were also found involved in smuggling Afghan citizens from Kabul to Saudi Arabia on fake Pakistani passports.
