PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has issued a stay order against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zartaj Gul in connection with the cases registered against her.

The decision came during a hearing presided over by PHC Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice Waqar Ahmed. The court was considering Zartaj Gul’s application for protective bail.

After hearing the arguments of the parties, the court granted Zartaj Gul 21 days of protective bail and directed the authorities not to arrest her in the cases registered against her during this period.

The order provides temporary legal relief to the PTI leader, giving her time to resolve the cases while ensuring protection from immediate detention. The decision highlights the role of the judiciary in upholding due process and providing protection to individuals facing legal challenges.
