PIA announces tickets discount ahead of Independence Day

ISLAMABAD: To mark the 77th Independence Day, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced a 14 percent discount on fares for flights from Toronto to Pakistan.

National carrier notified that the 14 percent discount will apply on bookings between August 1 and August 14, 2024.

According to the PIA spokesperson, the travel period for flights from Toronto to Pakistan must be between August 15 and November 14 to avail of this discount.

Earlier, PIA offered a 10 percent reduction in fares for domestic flights for the Eidul Fitr holidays. In May this year, Pakistan International Airlines announced a 20 percent discount for Pakistani students traveling to China to pursue academic degrees.

Preparations are in full swing across Pakistan to celebrate the country’s 77th Independence Day on August 14 with great enthusiasm and devotion.

In preparation for Independence Day, people decorate their vehicles with the green color and Pakistan’s flags, while residents adorn their houses, bazaars, and markets with flags and lights to express their love for the country on the occasion.
