PIA retirees to continue receiving medical benefits

ISLAMABAD: After the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), it has been decided to continue the medical facilities provided to retired employees through State Life Insurance.

State Life Insurance Company has issued written orders to provide medical facilities to retired employees of PIA.

According to the orders issued, retired employees of PIA will be provided with treatment facilities in hospitals on the State Life Insurance panel across the country. And these facilities will also include laboratory tests.

State Life Insurance has issued written instructions in this regard to all the hospitals and laboratories included in the panel.

According to the written orders, the concerned District Medical Officers (DMOs) and Health Facility Officers (HFOs) will be in touch with the hospital administration to ensure the implementation of these instructions.

Under the decision, retired employees have been assured of continuity of medical facilities even after privatization.
