PM Shehbaz calls cabinet meeting tomorow to discuss PTI ban

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called a federal cabinet meeting tomorrow to discuss the possible ban on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), sources said.

According to the reports, the cabinet meeting will be focused to talk through the political condition of the country. The main agenda of the meeting will be to debate the potential ban on PTI.

Earlier, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar in a press conference announced the federal government’s plans to impose a ban on PTI. He further stated that the government has authentic and credible evidence to support a ban.

The allegations include the party’s involvement in foreign funding, the May 9 incident, its role in the resettlement of terrorists in Pakistan, the cipher episode, and the resolution passed in the United States.

Moreover, the cabinet is expected to contemplate the approval of proceedings under Article 6 against former president Arif Alvi, PTI founder Imran Khan, and former NA deputy speaker Qasim Suri.

In a press briefing, Atta Tarar explained that legal action under Article 6 of the Constitution would be followed against former President Arif Alvi, PTI founder Imran Khan, and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri.
