PM Shehbaz & Chinese Premier inaugurate Gwadar airport

ISLAMABAD: Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang said that China will continue to play a role in the development of Pakistan.

Li Qiang expressed these views while addressing the signing ceremony of various agreements between Pakistan and China, which was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

During the ceremony, both the Prime Ministers virtually inaugurated the Gwadar International Airport.

During the event, documents were exchanged between the two countries regarding smart classrooms, seventh joint working group meeting at Gwadar under CPEC and human resource development.

A memorandum of understanding was signed for cooperation in the fields of information and communication as well as in the field of water resources. Documents were also exchanged to enhance cooperation in the field of security between the two countries.

In his address, Prime Minister Li Qiang praised the efforts of Pakistani and Chinese manpower in the completion of the project and described the completion of the airport as an important milestone.

He emphasized that Gwadar is not only a centre of regional development but also a symbol of strong friendship between the two countries.

Reiterating that China will continue to play its role in Pakistan’s development, Li Qiang said that the prosperity of the Pakistani people is close to his heart and the strategic partnership between the two countries will deepen over time. has been

In his address, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted several MoUs between Pakistan and China in the fields of industry, agriculture and trade. He further said that these bilateral agreements are the beginning of a new chapter of friendship between the two countries.

He acknowledged China’s firm commitment to Pakistan’s development and appreciated its important role in advancing the country’s economic agenda. Shahbaz Sharif said that Gwadar International Airport is a proof of the strong friendship between Pakistan and China, calling it another flower in the bouquet of CPEC. He also appreciated the efforts of engineers and workers of both countries in the completion of the project.
