PM Shehbaz extends sympathies to grieving family of late Rana Afzaal Hussain

LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid a condolence visit to the residence of Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain in Muridke, where he expressed his heartfelt sympathies on the passing of the minister’s brother, Rana Afzaal Hussain, a member of the Provincial Assembly.

The Prime Minister offered prayers to Allah Almighty, seeking eternal peace for the deceased and strength for the grieving family to endure this difficult time.

In addition, the PM also acknowledged the late Rana Afzaal Hussain’s dedicated service to the people and praised his contributions to the community, ensuring that his legacy would be remembered and cherished.

Earlier, the renowned Pakistani politician Rana Afzal Hussain, a prominent member of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), passed away at the age of 77 due to cardiac arrest. He was laid to rest in his ancestral village of Nangal Kaswala, following funeral prayers at Rana Farmhouse in Muridke.

A seasoned legislator, Rana Afzal Hussain had served two terms in the National Assembly and held the position of Tehsil Nazim of Muridke. He was the elder brother of Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain and father of Member of the National Assembly Rana Ahmed Atiq Anwar.

Born in July 1947, Rana Afzal Hussain left behind a legacy of public service. His demise was mourned by prominent political leaders, including President Asif Ali Zardari, who extended their condolences to the bereaved family.

His burial took place in the family graveyard in Nangal Kaswala, surrounded by mourners who gathered to pay their respects to the late politician.
