QUETTA: At least 2 people were injured as a result of an explosion near Chaman Gate area of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan. The blast also broke the windows of the nearby buildings.
According to police officials, the blast took place near Chaman Gate in Ganjanabad area of Quetta. Two pedestrians, identified as Ghulam Hussain and his son Osama, were injured in the blast.
The injured were immediately shifted to Civil Hospital. The condition of both the injured is said to be out of danger.
Police, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Frontier Corps (FC), Bomb Disposal Squad and other law enforcement agencies have reached the spot to collect evidence and start investigation.
Officials of police and other law enforcement agencies have also set up checkpoints in and around Chaman Gate Road to search for criminals.
