PM Shehbaz introduces organ donor logo on CNICs, Details inside

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif launched a nationwide initiative to promote organ donation on Sunday, coinciding with International Identity Day.

The initiative allows individuals to register as organ donors and features a special logo on their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs).

In a message, PM Sharif emphasized the significance of organ donation, calling it a “profound act of kindness” that can save lives. He encouraged citizens to participate in the initiative, becoming part of a life-saving community.

The special logo on CNICs will symbolize an individual’s commitment to donating organs after death, promoting a culture of generosity and compassion.

In addition, PM Sharif also highlighted the importance of identity, stating it’s a cornerstone of inclusion, representation, and access to essential services.

This initiative aims to raise awareness and encourage Pakistanis to register as organ donors, potentially saving countless lives.
