PM Shehbaz Sharif arrives in Karachi on one day official visit

KARACHI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Karachi on Monday on a one-day official visit, ABN news reported.

Prime Minister was received by Federal Minister for Education Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and other government officials.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit the Pakistan Navy dockyard. The Prime Minister will address the officers and men of the Pakistan Navy.

PM will pay tribute to the officers and men of the Pakistan Navy who protected Pakistan’s maritime borders and maritime waters during the “Marka e Haq”.

Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar are also accompanying the Prime Minister.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday departed for Beijing on a three-day visit to China, on the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

In Beijing, Ishaq Dar would hold comprehensive discussions with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, as well as other senior Chinese leaders, including key members of the Chinese Communist Party, according to a Foreign Office press release.

The meetings would focus on current regional developments and the multiple dimensions of Pakistan-China relations.

The visit is a part of high-level exchanges between Pakistan and China, and a reaffirmation of the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership between the two brotherly countries.
