ISLAMABAD: A local leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) and a long-time activist who organized the party’s rallies, Anjum Iqbal Mughal, passed away at the Holy Family Hospital due to unavailability of a ventilator.

Anjum Iqbal Mughal’s health suddenly deteriorated at around 7 am, after which he was immediately shifted to the hospital. His condition there was critical and he urgently needed a ventilator. The family says that they repeatedly requested the hospital administration to provide a ventilator, but the facility was not available in time.

Local workers tried to contact the political leadership of Rawalpindi several times, but could not talk to any leader. According to family and friends, the deceased waited for medical help until his last breath, but he died when the facility was not available.

Anjum Iqbal Mughal was active in organizing PML-N rallies and political activities in Rawalpindi for the past 20 years. He was known as a loyal and active worker of the party.

His death has sparked grief and anger among local activists. Questions are also being raised about the lack of facilities at the hospital, and the public is demanding immediate action from the administration.
