PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui dies in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Irfan Siddiqui has passed away in Islamabad on Monday.

Irfan Siddiqui had been ill for two weeks and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the federal capital.

Siddiqui was the parliamentary leader of the PML-N in the Senate and was considered a close associate of former Prime Minister and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif.

Senator Irfan Siddiqui was also the parliamentary leader of the PML-N in the Senate.

He had been ill for the past two weeks and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Islamabad.

According to family sources, his health had been bad for a few days, but after it suddenly deteriorated, he was shifted to the hospital, where doctors put him on a ventilator.

According to government sources, Irfan Siddiqui’s health was also bad at the time of the approval of the 27th Constitutional Amendment.

At that time, it was said that he was on oxygen and might not be able to vote in the House. The government had said that 64 members were present for a two-thirds majority.

Party leaders have expressed deep sorrow over the death of Irfan Siddiqui and have appealed for prayers for his forgiveness.
