PMLN’s Azhar Qayyum Wins NA-81 Recount in Gujranwala

Gujranwala: In the recounting of votes for constituency NA-81 in Gujranwala, Azhar Qayyum of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) has emerged victorious.

According to private TV channels, as per the returning officer’s recounting, Azhar Qayyum has secured a lead with 3197 votes. Previously, Bilal Ijaz had succeeded on NA-81 with a lead of 7791 votes. Bilal Ijaz was a PTI-supported candidate whose victory was challenged by Azhar Qayyum of the (N) League after his success.

According to the RO, the Election Commission had ordered the recounting of votes from 75 polling stations.
